3 Tips to Finding Joy During This Very "Different" Holiday Season

If you're feeling a bit blue this holiday season, you're not alone. Everything is just so different this year! Here are a few ways to find joy during this "different" holiday season. 

First off, make a list of all the things you don't have to do this year! Instead of focusing on the stuff you can't do, enjoy the freedom of not having to do things you never liked doing in the first place. Not having to bake a hundred cookies for a host of different holiday events is right up there for me!

Next, make new traditions! Use this extra time together to explore your family's passions and come up with new ways to bond and celebrate. We celebrate "Little Christmas" with our family on December 23rd. This year, we plan to have a celebration via Zoom with family members near and far to share in all the traditions of the holiday together. I am just sorry it took a quarantine to encourage us to do that!

Lastly, focus on what matters most. Without all the extra holiday obligations, you now have a lot more time to focus your energy on what truly has meaning to you and your family. Make a list of the things that you wish you could've had more time to enjoy if you weren't running all over the place during the holidays.
